BOB CORBETT & THE ROO GRASS BAND
Bob Corbett & The Roo Grass Band are an award-winning Australian roots/Americana act with a rich history, a loyal following, and a renewed creative spark. Frontman Bob Corbett is the 2012 Toyota Star Maker winner, a four-time Golden Guitar nominee, nine-time 1233 ABC Music Award winner, and a MusicOz Award nominee, with additional recognition including Victorian and National Country Music Awards and seven Australian Songwriters Award nominations.
Across six original albums, the band built a reputation for harmony-rich songs, warm storytelling and high-energy live shows, earning national airplay and appearances on ABC TV’s Rage, Sunrise, CMC, and Channel 10. Their touring history spans Australia and beyond, including performances at the CMA Festival in Nashville, and major festivals such as CMC Rocks, Gympie Muster, Deni Ute Muster, National Folk Festival, and the Tamworth Country Music Festival.
After easing into a lighter touring schedule, Bob Corbett & The Roo Grass Band have reunited with brand new music, with their most recent singles reaching the Top 10 on Australian Country Radio charts. Their latest release, “Surfer Farmer” (“Daddy was a surfer, Mama was a farmer”), captures the humour, heart and unmistakable Australian character that defines the Roo Grass sound.
Beyond the music, the band has raised over $10,000 for Australian charities, including Melanoma Institute Australia, Cancer Council Australia, and Lifeline, continuing a career built on connection, community and great songs.
