Running across three glorious nights, 24th, 25th & 26th April 2026, with the additional special prelude warm up concert on Thursday 23rd April, The Gum Ball is held on the majestic bushlands of Dashville (Wonnarua) Lower Belford, Hunter Valley, NSW.

It’s a remarkable achievement, not only to be considered one of the best laid-back festivals in existence, but for this little grass roots ‘bush party’, that kicked off on mum and dads front yard in 2005, to grow to become a bonafide cultural institution for the region, as a hub for musical inspiration and community, creating an awesome platform for artist and audience development, for all those who have contributed to where we have landed, we are incredibly grateful.

In case you hadn't heard, The Gum Ball is a very unique live music experience, designed for all ages and inclinations. It's an event that celebrates diversity, inclusivity and creativity. It strives to deliver inspirational memories and community built around live music, art and friendships.

The Gum Ball really is the perfect festival for those that may have given up on festivals, whether it be because you felt too old, society scared you or whether having kids makes it difficult. People have discovered this little gem as the answer to ease back into the game. Ask anyone that has been and they'll tell you just how achievable it really is.

Boasting onsite bush camping and a popular BYO option, year in year out, the Dashville team have delivered bountiful line ups, full of well-considered and diverse performers, from across Australia and overseas, both emerging and established artists who are destined to impress as they all play one-by-one on the intimate bushland amphitheatre.

The best bit about The Gum Ball is in the discovery. There’s a few bigger names on the line up. But because of it being a central stage, with one other side stage, you can physically get to see everything, you don’t need to really worry too much about a game plan. You can just meander through the day, you’ll hear all the bands as they roll out and so can choose your own stage adventures accordingly.

The magic of The Gum Ball is in the fact that it’s a festival where you don’t even need a timetable, you just exist in this comfortable space, where you get to experience the journey of music from start to finish. You can wander, relax, come and go as you please. It’s all there right in front of you, pulling your attention when you see fit to give it.

The Gum Ball mixes musical genres and styles, from rock and soul, through to hip-hop, country and in between, over two stages, side by side, to create a flowing festival feast of music and dance. The campground is just over yonder, a short stroll away.
