AXE & THE IVORY
Indie-folk band, Axe & the Ivory, is comprised of a bunch of best mates who grew up playing music together. Described as a songwriting force, they’ve played major Australian festivals including Woodford Folk Festival, Cygnet Folk Festival and Wingham Music Festival. For fans of the Gregory Alan Isakov, Anais Mitchell and the Paper Kites, they’ll instantly capture your attention with two lead vocalists, enchanting harmonies and intricate guitar and banjo melodies. Band members include Ben Lovell (guitar, vocals), Rosie Roberts (guitar, keys, vocals), Paul Cooper (banjo), Mark Oosterveld (bass, vocals) and James Lovell (drums, vocals). They’re currently recording a bunch of new tracks to be released in late 2024, coinciding with their first east coast tour.
