SALARYMEN
Sydney-based indie band Salarymen have gone from strength to strength in the last 12 months, nabbing a spot at both SXSW Austin and SXSW Sydney, touring in Japan and nationally with Royel Otis, and performing at one of Australia’s biggest festivals, Lost Paradise, alongside Foals, Lime Coridale and Channel Tres.
With their jangly, sun-soaked fusion of dream pop, rock and psych influences, they have impressed audiences far and wide, earning spins on BBC6, Radio X, KEXP, triple j, FBi and RRR, editorial adds on Spotify and Apple Music, and praise from NME, Clash and The Guardian.
They command attention from any crowd with compelling songwriting, carefully crafted visuals and enthralling live performances, with part of their unique appeal lying in their vocal dynamics which feature two distinct yet complementary female and male voices working together in harmony.
Since they burst onto the scene in late 2019, Salarymen have become a formidable force in the Australian indie scene, sharing stages with the likes of The Lazy Eyes, Pacific Avenue, Eliza & The Delusionals, The Vanns, and being handpicked by The Jungle Giants as winners of the Smirnoff Ads for Artists competition.
